Muskoka Kitchen Paddles are durable wooden kitchen utensils hand-crafted in Huntsville, Ontario, Canada.

Each paddle is made from high-quality Black Cherry.  Cherry is the preferred wood for regular canoe paddles.  It stands up well in heat and liquids, resists rot and splitting and has superior strength and longevity.

All MKP Paddles are:

  • Treated with a time-tested formula of beeswax, grapeseed oil, and rosemary essential oil to ensure durability and longevity.

  • Pre-washed and polished to eliminate raised grains.  They're very smooth.

Caring for your Kitchen Paddle:

  • Hand wash with mild detergent / no dishwashers!

  • Rub occasionally with a food-grade oil.  (Olive, grapeseed, coconut, canola oil etc)

Please note:

Wood may get fuzzy after the first couple of washes.   This is called 'raising the grain' and is due to the broken fibres from the sanding process.   The spoons have been pre-washed and polished to prevent this.  However, if it does get fuzzy, let it dry and use a nylon kitchen scrubbing pad (a green Scotch-Brite pad) to dry-polish the wood.  You can even revive your old wooden spoons this way!.

DO NOT SAND IT!   It will only raise more grains.
